Q. Do I have to leave the TV connected to the Internet so it can receive software updates?
A. When the TV is connected to the Internet, it will check whether new software is available every 24-36 hours. If your Roku TV is not connected to the internet, software updates must be done manually by first downloading the software to your computer, copying it to a USB flash drive, and then connecting the USB flash drive to your Roku TV.
Q. Can I still use the TV if I don’t connect to the Internet?
A. Yes, you can still use the TV if it’s not connected to the Internet. The TV has a built-in tuner to enjoy free over-the-air channels with an antenna.
Q. Where can I access the User Manual?
A. The Hisense Roku Quick Setup Guide is included inside the carton box with the TV. You can find the answers to more questions by visiting the Support section of Roku’s website.

Q. What’s the difference between your R6E series and your R7E series that’s on your website?
A. The TVs for the R6E and R7E series have the same basic features and design. Hisense has certain retail partners that require exclusivity of certain software or service configurations and to honor their business requirement, we’ve differentiated how the product they carry is promoted by using a different name of the series.

Q. What is the Featured Free feature?
A. The Featured Free feature provides users with direct links to free content from The Roku Channel, ABC, The CW, CW Seed, FOX, Freeform, NBC and more. Featured Free will include the latest in-season episodes of top network shows, full past-season catch-ups and more – all free and available to browse in a single experience.
Q. What is required for the Google Assistant to work with the Roku TV?
A. You will need a separate Google Home or similar device in order to control the TV with the Google Assistant.
Q. What types of commands can I use the Google Assistant for to control the TV?
A. You can use the Google Assistant to pause and control content that you’re watching, launch streaming channels and search for titles or actors. You can also control the TV by changing channels, switching HDMI inputs, powering the TV on or off and turning the volume up or down.
Q. Can I remove a channel that is already pre-loaded on the TV?
A. Yes, you can. To delete a channel:
1. Go to My Channels on your Roku.
2. Navigate to the channel you want to remove and click Options (the * symbol) on the remote.
3. Select Remove channel and click OK. The Roku TV will confirm that you want to remove the channel. Select “Remove channel” again to do so.
Q. What can I use the mobile app for?
A. The app will enable you to use your smart phone or tablet as a remote, plug in headphones for private listening, search with your voice, and share your own videos, music and photos to the TV.
Q. How can I view 4K UHD and HDR content on the TV?
A. You can browse the Roku Channel Store by following the steps below.
a. Press the Home button on your Roku remote.
b. Scroll up or down and select Streaming Channels.
c. Select 4K UHD Content Available to browse channels that offer 4K content; some streaming channels will also offer movies and TV shows in 4K HDR. Contact the channel provider to learn if they offer content in 4K HDR.
